Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Model Based Systems Engineer to join our team as a Digital Transformation Leader. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the adoption of MBSE in both customer and company domains, developing MBSE processes and methodologies, and applying MBSE experience to modeling mission systems.
Key Responsibilities- Assess engineering artifacts and develop models of mission systems using a MBSE tool suite that includes COTS tools.
- Apply systems engineering modeling methodologies to develop mission models, with a focus on UPDM or UAF meta-model frameworks.
- Define and demonstrate the appropriate data standards, data structures, and supporting COTS, GOTS, and Open Source technologies required to manage the data needs.
- Integrate enterprise tools and develop MBSE-based processes to support requirements engineering, the customer's ERB process, CONOPS and architecture development, Risk, Issues and Opportunity Management boards, schedule management, test and verification strategy development, and system integration of new initiatives in support of expanded mission capabilities.
- Facilitate collaborative meetings between the MBSE users and the tool development team to communicate modeling needs and help innovate potential solutions.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to senior managers regarding the creation and implementation of new MBSE methods and techniques.
- BS in engineering, physics, programming or related technical degree and 2-4 years of experience, OR MS and 0-2 years of experience.
- Experience supporting overall engineering integration of Systems Engineering and Integration efforts for the Satellite Control Network, DoD, government agencies, or commercial programs.
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and tools such as Magic Draw, Cameo, or SysML.
- Working knowledge of Linux, C++, Python, Perl and Java.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud computing platforms.
- Experience performing system engineering in space or aerospace concepts and alternative design, architectural analysis, modeling and simulation, enterprise strategic planning, or digital engineering methodologies.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI.
