Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and tool makers to provide solutions and improvements in tooling needs and tool life.
  • Analyze technical material as it relates to tooling and machining processes.
  • Develop and apply understanding of machining and materials required to produce high-quality products.
  • Utilize solidworks and CAD/CAM software to create programs for various departments and meet machining requirements.
  • Provide machinists with support for their tooling needs and ensure efficient tooling usage and costs.
  • Partner with our tool crib to track tooling usage and costs, and collaborate with vendors for tooling needs and purchasing solutions.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in print reading and GD&T understanding and application.
  • A high level of mechanical aptitude and applied understanding.
  • Previous manufacturing, machining, and production experience preferred.
  • Self-feeding and pursuit of continuous learning.
  • Collaboration through conflict is vital to this role, and a high level of integrity is expected.
  • A desire to solve customers' problems through design changes, tooling, and programming.
  • Preferred experience in or with various CNC machining.
