Are you a highly skilled Medical Assistant looking for a challenging opportunity in the field of optometry? We have an exciting position available at Kaiser Permanente in Beaverton, Oregon.
About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting doctors of optometry in providing high-quality patient care. Your duties will include recording patient medical and visual history, preparing clinical information, taking patient vitals, performing pre-testing, and maintaining accurate records.
You will also be responsible for receiving and processing phone calls, managing doctor's schedules, and coordinating patient care with other departments. In addition, you will maintain diagnostic and therapeutic instruments and equipment, respond to patient concerns, and perform other administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of experience functioning in an optometric or ophthalmic practice under the supervision of an optometrist or ophthalmologist;
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required;
- Paraoptometric Assistant Certificate within 24 months of hire from American Optometric Association OR Ophthalmic Technician Certificate within 24 months of hire from The Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology OR Paraoptometric Technician Certificate within 24 months of hire from American Optometric Association OR Ophthalmic Assistant Certificate within 24 months of hire from The Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology;
- Registered Medical Assistant (Washington) within 2 months of hire;
The estimated salary for this position is between $45,000 to $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
