Facility Overview:
Our Wakefield facility is among the largest production sites within Michael Foods, functioning as a versatile plant capable of producing a wide range of products, from whole pasteurized eggs to liquid, dried, hardboiled eggs, and curds.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Water Treatment Operator, you will be essential in the operation and maintenance of our water treatment facility, ensuring adherence to state regulations. Your role will also involve the upkeep of MFI buildings, where you will apply your skills in various construction tasks such as concrete work, painting, carpentry, floor coatings, block work, and pipe insulation.

Primary Duties:
The successful candidate will operate and maintain the water treatment plant under the guidance of the lead operator, ensuring compliance with Nebraska's regulations for a grade 3 water treatment facility.

Additional Responsibilities:
In addition to your primary duties, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing surrounding MFI buildings, which may include tasks such as concrete work, painting, carpentry, and pipe insulation.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in operating and maintaining water treatment equipment, performing daily operations, and ensuring equipment cleanliness.
  • Ability to adapt to various construction tasks, including block work, concrete work, tile installation, carpentry, painting, and pipe insulation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with construction tools and equipment.
  • Experience in facility maintenance, including the repair of walls, floors, ceilings, and doors.
  • Commitment to safety standards, maintaining sanitary conditions, and reporting any issues affecting safety or quality.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Minimum of a Nebraska grade 4 water certification, with the capability to obtain a grade 3 certification.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Capability to ascend and descend stairs and ladders.
  • Ability to work at heights.
