Are you passionate about data analysis and insights? Do you want to make a meaningful impact on the entertainment industry? We're seeking a talented Business Intelligence Engineer to join our Global Programming and Insights team at Amazon.

As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving customer insights for Prime Video's content programming, selection optimization, and product development. You will work with large datasets to gather insights, build scalable data processes, and develop new metrics to quantify customer behavior and reduce customer churn.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining performance insights metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to drive key business decisions.
  • Building efficient and automated data processes to inform business decision making.
  • Developing new metrics and studies to quantify customer behavior and reduce customer churn in programming.
  • Analyzing and improving dashboards, operational business metrics decks, and key performance indicators.

Requirements include:

  • 2+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
  • Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R).

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree, knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design, and experience with statistical analysis and correlation analysis.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $74,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $165,600/year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
