We are seeking an experienced Engineering Technician I to support our NATSC contract in Newport, Rhode Island. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for repairing and manufacturing array module hose assemblies and tow cables in accordance with formal work instructions.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and troubleshoot failed module assemblies to the component level and perform repairs.
- Manufacture array module hose assemblies and/or tow cables in accordance with formal work instructions.
- Perform standardized or prescribed assignments, involving a sequence of related operations.
- Conduct various tests or experiments, which may require minor modifications in test setups or procedures.
- Assist in design modification by compiling data related to design, specifications, and materials.
- High school/vocational school diploma or GED certificate.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD secret level clearance.
- Familiar with standard computer operation and Microsoft Office products.
- Documented completion of soldering and/or fiber-optic termination/connectorization certification/training.
- Operational knowledge and experience with industrial equipment, including module hosing/dehosing, pressure, tension, and handling testing.
- Experience performing electronic repairs at the component level or manufacturing hose assemblies for various towed array modules.
This role is covered by the Service Contract Act and pays $18.85 per hour.
