Job Title: Engineering Technician I

Leidos is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician I to support our NATSC contract in Newport, Rhode Island.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and manufacturing array module hose assemblies and tow cables in accordance with formal work instructions and quality standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Repair and troubleshoot failed module assemblies to the component level
  • Manufacture array module hose assemblies and tow cables using conformed materials and formal work procedures
  • Perform standardized or prescribed assignments involving a sequence of related operations
  • Conduct various tests and experiments, selecting and operating standard test equipment and recording test data
  • Assist in design modification by compiling data related to design, specifications, and materials
Requirements:
  • High school/vocational school diploma or GED certificate
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD secret level clearance
  • Familiarity with standard computer operation and Microsoft Office products
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Documented completion of soldering and/or fiber-optic termination/connectorization certification/training
  • Operational knowledge and experience with industrial equipment, including module hosing/dehosing, pressure, tension, and handling testing, and automated/semi-automated electronic test equipment

This role is covered by the Service Contract Act and pays $18.85 per hour.
