The Legal Program Manager/Senior Attorney is a key leadership position at YWCA Pierce County, responsible for overseeing the organization's Legal Services Program. This program provides critical support to survivors of intimate partner violence, offering protection order and family law assistance. The successful candidate will lead a team of attorneys, paralegals, and legal advocates, ensuring the delivery of high-quality legal services to clients while maintaining a commitment to the YWCA's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Legal Services Program, overseeing the planning, development, and implementation of all aspects of the program, including advocacy, direct representation, and public education.
  • Supervise a team of attorneys, paralegals, and legal advocates, providing guidance, support, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure the program's goals and objectives are met, including budget development, quality assurance, and outcome reporting.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to advance the YWCA's mission and strategic plan.
  • Represent the YWCA in the community, building relationships with partners, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and YWCA policies.
Requirements
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising a team of attorneys and support staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, staff, and community partners.
  • Knowledge of family law, protection orders, and related areas of law.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to the YWCA's mission and values.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
