Position Overview:
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Vice President, Excess & Surplus Casualty Underwriter to join our dynamic E&S Casualty team. This role is integral to our operations, leveraging extensive expertise and robust relationships with select wholesale brokers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite lead and excess liability business with precision.
- Assess individual risk characteristics to accurately determine capacity, attachment points, terms, and pricing.
- Foster and strengthen existing broker relationships while identifying and cultivating new partnerships.
- Tailor underwriting strategies to align with guidelines and rating plans across a diverse range of account sizes and operations.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy focused on retaining current business and generating new opportunities.
- Lead a collaborative team environment, working closely with claims, legal, and actuarial professionals.
Qualifications:
- Established relationships with regional wholesale brokers, with a proven ability to drive business.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in casualty underwriting.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational capabilities.
- CPCU designation and/or Surplus Lines license is preferred.
