SUMMARY


As a key subject matter expert in Process Improvement, you will facilitate effective change initiatives (kaizen) and lead cross-functional teams across various departments within the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assist in defining project scope and objectives, resource needs, and deliverables as necessary.

Guide cross-functional teams through structured problem-solving (A3) processes.


Demonstrate the ability to lead and apply lean/Six Sigma methodologies, including but not limited to: 5S, kaizen events, value stream mapping, SMED, visual management techniques, metrics and KPIs, standard work, 7/8 Wastes, analysis of variance (ANOVA), control charts, DMAIC, etc.


Develop and refine business processes within the assigned Center of Excellence (COE), from product/process conception to operational execution and all supporting activities/functions.

Implementation or modifications may enhance process flow, work methods, layout, tools, fixtures, and/or equipment.

Oversee COE cost reduction initiatives, Project Initiation Document (PID) creation, and continuous improvement efforts.


Analyze workforce utilization, facility layout, and operational data such as production costs, process flow diagrams, and production schedules to determine optimal use of personnel (both direct and indirect) and equipment.


Propose strategies for enhancing worker efficiency and minimizing waste of materials and utilities, including restructuring job responsibilities, reorganizing workflows, relocating workstations and equipment, and procuring new equipment.

Assess standards for materials, labor, and overhead.


Identify and facilitate projects aimed at modifying product attributes (structures, routings, etc.) to achieve improvements in productivity and/or quality.

Engage in special projects as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

May directly oversee Technicians as necessary. Executes supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable regulations.

Responsibilities encompass interviewing, hiring, and training staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing grievances and resolving issues.



QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university, preferably in a technical field (Industrial Engineering, Industrial Management, Mechanical Engineering) and/or two to five years of relevant experience in cGMP packaging or a related industry and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to compose reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.

Ability to perform mathematical operations related to tasks such as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to interpret a wide range of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form and manage several abstract and concrete variables.



COMPUTER SKILLS:


Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, ERP systems, and related software.
