We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assisted Living Support Specialist to join our team at Rosetta Assisted Living.

 

Job Summary:

This part-time/full-time position involves providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Report to work on time or notify the administrator/assistant manager of any schedule changes.
  • Perform tasks that require physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs multiple times during shifts, bend, squat, and reach.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including grooming, dressing, bathing, oral hygiene, hair care, peri-care, eating, and planning daily activities.
  • Conduct housekeeping duties such as making beds, changing linens, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, laundry, cleaning bathrooms, deep cleaning rooms, windows, etc.
  • Support residents who experience incontinence by ensuring cleanliness and dressing them in fresh clothing.
  • Cook meals for up to 16 residents, following the posted menu in the kitchen.
  • Administer medications according to state and federal laws, company policy, and procedures.
  • Sanitize the kitchen and dining area after meals, answer phone calls using proper etiquette, and address inquiries from the public and family members about facility operations and resident health.
  • Assist residents in scheduling appointments with healthcare professionals and other community services.
  • Participate in building maintenance and issue resolution.
  • Record residents' activities, chart medications, and maintain accurate records.

 

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Able to aid and attend elderly residents in daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, etc.
  • Capable of preparing meals in an attractive and timely manner, following a prepared menu, and adjusting as needed. Obtain a Food Handlers Permit when required by the state within 14 days of employment.
  • Competent in handling emergency situations, such as power outages, medical emergencies, fires, floods, etc.
  • Able to schedule workload effectively to ensure timely meals, prevent neglect of residents, and maintain a tidy facility.
  • Familiarity with medications and physicians' instructions for medication administration, enabling assistance with residents' proper handling of medications.
  • Knowledge of first aid and CPR, with completion of an accredited course within 30 days of employment and provision of evidence of certification. Update training as required by state regulations and Rosetta Assisted Living policy.
  • Physically capable of managing duties of a large home and meeting needs of elderly residents, including lifting at least 50 lbs and assisting residents.
