Job Summary:

The Direct Support Professional at WDB Inc. plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals with special needs. As a supportive staff member, you will be responsible for providing personalized assistance and promoting independence in daily living skills, communication, and community interaction.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist individuals with daily living skills, such as dressing, grooming, and personal care.
  • Provide transportation and accompany individuals to community activities.
  • Support individuals in maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
  • Assist with meal planning, preparation, and safe food storage.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of individual's progress and needs.
  • Participate in the formulation and implementation of individual treatment plans.
  • Ensure strategies identified in the Service Plan are followed and provide support to individual's participation in preferred activities and goals.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to communicate effectively, work independently, and demonstrate empathy and compassion for individuals with special needs. You should also have the ability to lift and transfer individuals as needed.
