Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the anesthesia provider to develop and implement anesthesia plans of care for patients.
  • Assist with the setup, application, and maintenance of anesthesia equipment and supplies.
  • Participate in the preparation and maintenance of the anesthesia workroom, including inventory management and equipment maintenance.
  • Provide support to the anesthesia provider during procedures, including patient preparation, anesthesia induction, and recovery.
  • Assist with the coordination of anesthesia services, including scheduling and communication with other departments.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including anesthesia logs and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including nursing, surgery, and pharmacy, to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited program in anesthesia technology with an AS degree or certified by the American Society of Technologists and Technicians (ASATT) as a technologist.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • I.V. certification or anesthesia technician certificate from ASATT.
  • Advanced cardiac life support certification.
  • Basic life support certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum one year of experience in a cardiac OR and/or Level 1 trauma center.
  • Associate degree.
  • Certificate of training for Drager, GE, or other anesthesia delivery systems, if not a graduate of a program.
Work Environment:

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, with a rotating weekend schedule. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care.
