Anesthesia Technician

As a Certified Anesthesia Technologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in assisting anesthesia providers in delivering high-quality patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of anesthesia equipment, principles of asepsis, and sterile technique. You will work collaboratively with the anesthesia care team to ensure seamless patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist anesthesia providers with patient preparation, electrode placement, and use of ultrasound/nerve stimulator devices.
- Set up and assist with placement of invasive monitoring equipment, including arterial lines, central venous pressure lines, and PA catheters.
- Prepare and apply patient warming modalities as needed.
- Respond to Code Blue, Code Pink, and other emergency situations with the anesthesia care team.
- Participate in problem identification and resolution, development of policies and procedures, quality improvement, and staff development.
- Graduate of an accredited program in Anesthesia Technology with an AS degree or certified by the American Society of Technologists and Technicians (ASATT) as a Technologist.
- High School Diploma.
- I.V. Certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
- Anesthesia Technician Certificate from American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians.
- Basic Life Support.
- Certificate of training for Drager, GE, or other anesthesia delivery systems, if not a graduate of a program.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in a Cardiac OR and/or Level 1 trauma center.
