About Us:
As a prominent player in the food and beverage sector, we are looking for an experienced Production Floor Supervisor to enhance our expanding workforce. This is a full-time, onsite role.
Position Summary:
Reporting directly to the Shipping Manager, the Production Floor Supervisor is essential in guiding and training personnel in packaging and bulk loadout to fulfill daily production targets. This role involves overseeing the loadout operations team, ensuring that production and quality objectives are consistently met. You will also address production delays, resolve challenges, and guarantee the availability of resources such as materials, equipment, and personnel to maintain efficient production timelines. Furthermore, you will spearhead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at boosting safety, quality, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
Plant Operations:
- Supervise staff in the packaging and bulk loadout departments.
- Provide expertise on machinery for process equipment, troubleshooting operational and mechanical issues as necessary.
- Make real-time decisions to ensure safety, quality, and productivity in line with company standards.
- Collaborate with laboratory personnel to uphold finished product quality within established parameters.
- Monitor and evaluate efficiency and performance metrics for staff and processes in the packaging and bulk loadout areas.
- Enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to achieve departmental objectives.
- Train and mentor operators and department staff, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere. Provide constructive feedback during employee evaluations.
- Utilize Integrated Management System (IMS) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems where applicable.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and BRC standards, always remaining inspection-ready.
Quality, Safety, and Sanitation:
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensure safe operation of tools and equipment.
- Comply with all food safety, quality assurance, GMP, sanitation, and general plant policies and procedures.
- Inspect products for overall quality and appearance, ensuring they meet customer and QA/Food Safety standards. Communicate any non-conforming products to supervisors.
- Report all safety or environmental concerns to supervisors and managers.
- At the end of each shift, secure equipment and perform general housekeeping duties.
- Complete necessary documentation for process parameters and recordkeeping.
Management and Leadership:
- Lead by example, adhering to safety and food safety policies while upholding team values. Ensure regulatory compliance and follow established HR procedures.
- Ensure proper staffing, training, and adherence to area SOPs.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators to assess quality and productivity.
- Promote continuous improvement by leveraging the Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Build strong working relationships with area leads, department supervisors, and managers, operating with clarity, simplicity, and transparency.
- Effectively manage and drive change, organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks to meet or exceed deadlines.
- Stay informed about new technology, apply it to operations, and share knowledge with your team.
