Job Summary

Summary: As a key member of our culinary team, the Executive Sous Chef will assist the Executive Chef in preparing and cooking high-quality foods, while ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Cook and prepare food following approved recipes and production standards, ensuring all deadlines are met based on production orders.
  • Supervise hourly food service associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, participating in reviews, and recommending disciplinary action as needed.
  • Store food in designated areas, following all corporate, state, and federal food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures.
  • Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils, and clean workstations thoroughly before leaving the area.
  • Interact with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly and service-oriented manner, relaying relevant information directly to the supervisor.
  • Demonstrate a complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explain them to associates and customers.
  • Monitor inventory and deliveries of product and supplies, tracking product production, consumption, and waste, and informing the supervisor when supplies or product are low.
