Job Summary
The Housing Authority of Florence is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented professional to serve as the Director of Facilities Management. This senior executive-level position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups, and a keen understanding of the housing industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the design and construction of properties under management, including new construction, modernization work, and maintenance department oversight.
- Manage Capital Fund Grants and develop and manage Capital Fund budgets.
- Conduct Physical Needs Assessments (PNA) and Energy Audits.
- Supervise staff and develop policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with HUD requirements and relevant public housing policies.
- Administer contracts and procurements.
Requirements
- Advanced coursework in drafting, construction, budgeting, and construction field trades.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in building trades work, including administrative experience.
- Extensive senior-level supervision and administration experience.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans.
- Architectural, mechanical, and computer-assisted drafting skills.
- Strong communication and computer skills.
- Valid driver's license.
