Job Title: Virtual Design and Construction Lead

TRC Talent Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Virtual Design and Construction Lead to join our team in the Jacksonville, FL area. This exciting opportunity involves working on direct projects with the Department of Defense.

Job Summary:

This VDC Mechanical Lead position is responsible for supporting and coordinating all aspects of Building Information Modeling (BIM) production, coordination, and management related to Mechanical and Plumbing to ensure a quality product that meets the requirements of the contract.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, coordinate, and produce 3D models through collaboration with design consultants, preconstruction team, construction operations, and supply chain partners.
  • Support and coordinate all aspects of BIM production, coordination, and management related to Mechanical and Plumbing.
  • Ensure a quality product that meets the requirements of the contract.
  • Collaborate with architecture, engineering, MEP systems, and construction teams.
  • Prepare and implement BIM Standards.
  • Collaborate with 3D scan model teams.
  • Utilize software such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Suite of Products.
  • Travel when necessary.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related A/E/C discipline.
  • Five (5) or more years' BIM design experience with immersive BIM and design coordination, performing clash detection and resolution.
  • Five (5) or more years' background in working with architecture, engineering, MEP systems, and construction.
  • Field construction experience is preferred.
  • Experience preparing and implementing BIM Standards is preferred.
  • 3D scan model collaboration is preferred.
