Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance and Operations to join our team at Gecko Hospitality. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial leadership and support to our organization, ensuring accurate and timely financial data, and driving financial success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Provide financial guidance and support to the General Manager and Department Heads, ensuring accurate and timely financial data.
  • Accounting and Reporting: Responsible for batching invoices, sending required reporting to the corporate office, and maintaining an organized filing system for Direct Bill accounts.
  • Financial Analysis: Prepare financial analysis of operations through the MIS System, and maintain files of all contracts, insurance policies, tax reports, expenses, payroll, and accounts receivable documentation.
  • Insurance and Risk Management: Handle workers' compensation and liabilities claims, maintain files with accurate updates, and advise management on insurance claims, workers' compensation claims, and insurance coverage updates.
  • Vendor and Partner Management: Respond to vendor and partner requests in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Experience: 4+ years of progressive experience in hotel accounting.
  • Education: Four-year university program certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Personal Qualities: Able to work independently using good judgment and as part of a team, excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, and ability to maintain exceptional discretion regarding confidential information.
