Job Title: General Manager - Surface Technology

Bodycote is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our Surface Technology business unit. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Surface Technology business unit to achieve strategic objectives and business goals.
  • Develop and implement business plans to drive growth, improve profitability, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee the management of plant operations, including safety, quality, and production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure business performance.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team of leaders and employees.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in the heat treatment industry.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Strong business acumen, with experience in financial management, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, with occasional overnight stays.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Experience with lean concepts, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of AMS and MIL standards, ISO 9000-2000, and related Aerospace and Defense standards.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
