Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Systems Lead Service Technician to join our team at DynaFire Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining fire alarm systems to ensure minimum downtime and maximum performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and service fire alarm systems to meet the highest quality standards set by DynaFire Inc.
  • Respond to customer service-related issues promptly and effectively communicate with customers to resolve issues.
  • Assist the sales and estimating staff with information leading to additional sales and change order opportunities.
  • Responsible for the mobilization, wiring, device trim, final hookup, troubleshooting, testing, and final inspection of fire alarm equipment for new jobs.
  • Operate, test, troubleshoot, and program fire alarm systems and documentation to meet all applicable industry codes and standards.
  • Train and instruct crew members and peers as needed.
  • Train and instruct customers on the proper use of equipment.
  • Responsible for reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Operate test equipment such as Volt Meter, Ohm Meter, Oscilloscope, Multimeter, Tone Generator, and Battery Tester.
  • Acquire and maintain required tools on the tool list.
  • Consistently analyze and update tools to maintain efficiency and recommend the use and purchase of labor-saving devices.
  • Have a working knowledge of construction tools including but not limited to Step ladders, extension ladders, Scissor lifts, hand tools, power tools, cordless tools, Powder actuated tools, cutting tools, Wire pulling devices, and Fastening systems.
  • Maintain a good driving record and be well-groomed.
  • Full compliance with DynaFire Inc.'s and customer's safety program.
  • Research and obtain information on position-specific training opportunities.
  • Obtain a NICET level II within one year of becoming a Fire Alarm Systems Technician.
  • Regularly attend and participate in training classes or programs to increase knowledge and help train others.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Fire Service.
  • Fluent with fire alarm devices, alarm panels, burglar alarm systems, and produce troubleshooting ability.
  • NICET II Fire Alarm.
  • Have a valid driver's license.
  • Proficient in DynaFire office hardware and software tools.
Relationship and Roles

The Fire Alarm Lead Service Technician will work with management and CSBM's to ensure DynaFire meets all customer expectations and projects maintain minimum net profit targets. The technician will be accountable to the Service Manager and will work 40 hours a week, with overtime as needed, and out-of-town work required at times.
