Job Summary

An intermediate level position, an Assembly Mechanic 2, is required to perform diversified tasks relating to product assembly, including motor alignment, setting hydraulic fluid systems, and applying basic troubleshooting techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with and participate in company quality and safety programs and initiatives.
  • Assist higher level mechanics in the assembly process, including parts fitting, press fitting, bolting, connecting, threading, aligning, calibrating, grinding, and flame heating.
  • Prepare work areas, including layout of the job, identifying and assembling necessary parts and tools, measuring, and consulting technical charts.
  • Keep work areas clean and ensure tooling is maintained in good safe working order.
  • Inspect all equipment used and perform preventive maintenance checks and services.
  • Schedule work orders for continuing daily progress.
  • Measure and record technical data as tasks are complete.
  • Overtime may be required to meet customer delivery schedules.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 4 years of Mechanical work experience.
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Preferred qualifications: Mechanical experience, 2 years.
Technical Competencies
  • Ability to assemble components into final assemblies.
  • Able to perform quality in-line inspection points in compliance with QA standards.
  • Demonstrates problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to explain how the line assembles together.
