About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Optician to join our team at LensCrafters. As a key member of our optical team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that our customers receive the best possible eye care experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome and engage with customers, setting clear expectations and providing personalized service.
  • Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Act as a leader in optical acumen, providing expert advice and guidance to customers and colleagues alike.
  • Take and record measurements, accurately adjust and fit eyewear, and ensure finished products meet standards and customer needs.
  • Assist team members with complex product needs and prescriptions, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Utilize technology effectively, despite time pressure and customer volume, to deliver exceptional results and exceed customer expectations.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues, demonstrating a forward-thinking and solution-driven approach.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strive to achieve exceptional results on brand KPIs and competencies, taking pride in store appearance and maintaining a clean, attractive, and organized environment.
  • Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices at all times.
  • Resourceful, self-motivated, and committed to continual learning and improvement, with a desire to achieve exceptional results.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • State licensure.
  • Optical dispensing experience.
  • Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and teamwork.
  • Knowledge of current store merchandise.
  • Strong basic math skills.
  • Awareness of current fashion trends.
  • Selling skills, including the ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet.
  • Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators.
  • Embracing new technology and change.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous customer service and retail experience.

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
