Position Summary

We are seeking a Court Reporting Operations Manager to undertake a variety of administrative, strategic, and operational support tasks. This role will collaborate closely with the Director of Reporting Operations, senior leadership, and managers from various teams to ensure the smooth functioning of the organization.

This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career within a dynamic and growing company. The position is full-time and offers a flexible remote work environment. Regular working hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM CST, with some flexibility required to accommodate client and business needs.

We provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and paid time off. The annual salary for this position ranges from $58,000 to $65,000, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the Client Relations and Scheduling Operations teams, ensuring:
    • Adherence to contract specifications regarding reporter requirements.
    • Monitoring reporter quality, communication, and professionalism, taking corrective actions as necessary.
    • Management of reporting schedules to guarantee coverage across all jurisdictions.
    • Evaluation and enhancement of workflow processes, documentation of changes, and implementation of improvements.
    • Processing and managing copy orders received via email and phone.
    • Assisting reporters and the Operations team in assigning work to ensure daily coverage.
    • Performing other essential functions as directed by the Director.
  • Mentor and train staff and contractors on established processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Reporter Development Specialist to assess the needs of the Scheduling team regarding coverage and quality.
  • Work with Senior Management to strategically develop and implement new workflow processes as required by new contracts.
  • Support contractors, reporting staff, and production staff as needed, while fulfilling all other reporting-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a management role, overseeing staff and executing managerial tasks such as performance evaluations and training.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively to address challenges.
  • Detail-oriented with the capability to manage and track complex tasks.
  • Exceptional business writing skills, including spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable learning new software.
  • Preferred experience in scheduling, client relations, and mentoring or training in a professional environment.
  • Preferred experience working with independent contractors.
  • Preferred familiarity with legal terminology and knowledge of trial preparation and court processes.
