Assembler - 1st shift (Beaver Dam)

We are seeking a skilled Assembler to join our team at Metalcraft in Beaver Dam. As an Assembler, you will play a crucial role in assembling parts and subassemblies for OEM and/or SCAG products on the assembly smart lines.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
- Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Verify specifications by measuring completed component.
- Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
- Maintain equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
- Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to efficiently work in a team and coordinate work with other departments.
- Aptitude to take orders and execute the same efficiently.
- High school degree, diploma or a GED equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
- Strong basic math skills.
- Demonstrated detail orientation, self-motivation skills, and ability to multi-task.
- Good finger and hand dexterity.
- Basic knowledge in blueprints reading and torque values.
- Previous experience working within a highly technical environment with light electrical assembly and/or heavy equipment assembly.
The physical activity required for this role includes lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling. The employee will be required to stand, walk, and move about frequently. The employee will also be required to bend, stoop, and squat occasionally. The employee will be required to sit occasionally. The employee will be required to climb occasionally. The employee will be required to reach overhead occasionally. The employee will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with moderate to heavy physical effort required to perform the basis essentials of the job.
