Job Overview

The AV Events Team is responsible for delivering comprehensive support throughout the lifecycle of large-scale corporate events. We are seeking an Audio-Visual Event Support Specialist to provide essential event support services. This role may include assisting with the initiation of in-room presentations, offering dedicated technical assistance for in-room AV equipment, and may require flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as the primary technician for event production, handling roles such as A1, A2, Graphics, or Technical Director based on event requirements.
- Set up, configure, and operate AV equipment to ensure seamless event execution.
- Maintain an advanced understanding of current audio and video standards and technologies.
- Act as the main point of contact for all audio and video production elements during events.
- Ensure high-quality production for both streaming and in-person experiences.
- Utilize the run-of-show document to guide event flow effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to execute event elements before and during shows.
- Participate in pre-event production meetings to clarify responsibilities.
- Test all playback elements to ensure proper functionality.
- Monitor event content closely to maintain quality standards.
- Manage audio levels and video feeds for recordings with precision.
- Program and operate switchers, graphics, mixers, microphones, and other audio equipment.
- Oversee gear configuration upgrades and innovate new show elements.
- Assist presenters with microphone placement and tracking.
- Organize and manage handheld microphones and additional equipment as necessary.
- Reset event spaces to pre-production conditions post-event.
- Communicate effectively with Executive Leadership and support staff for high-profile events.
- Engage with clients and various departments within the organization.

Required Skills and Experience

- Detail-oriented and self-motivated individual.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Adaptable and capable of working well with diverse personalities.
- High level of professionalism and composure under pressure.
- Independent worker with the initiative to seek guidance when necessary.
- Ability to simplify complex AV technical information for non-experts.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but relevant experience and skills are also valued.
- Preferred Certifications: AVIXA CTS.
- Previous experience in corporate event settings.
- Knowledge of AV signal flow and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with various AV equipment, including routers, switchers, recording devices, audio mixers, microphones, lighting boards, cameras, and software such as Zoom, Google Suite, Keynote, Slack, Dante Controller, Smaart 8, Mbox/Qlab/Playback Pro/Quicktime.
- Report any equipment failures to the AV team promptly.

Compensation

Estimated Pay Range: The estimated pay range for this position is USD $29.42 /Hr. - USD $35.00/Hr. and is classified as a Non-Exempt role. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, licenses or certifications, and location.
