About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join our team as a Student Assistance Professional. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement prevention and intervention programs to address substance abuse, violence, and mental health issues among students.
  • Collaborate with school staff, students, and parents to identify high-risk students and provide support services.
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized plans to address the needs of students.
  • Provide counseling services to students and families, including individual and group therapy.
  • Develop and implement school-wide awareness programs to promote healthy behaviors and prevent substance abuse.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to ensure compliance with funding requirements and program evaluation.
Requirements
  • AA degree or higher in Social Services, Human Services, Counseling, or related field.
  • Experience working in a youth-serving program or agency, with an emphasis on prevention and early intervention of substance abuse, violence, and mental health issues.
  • Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable.
