Job Summary

Renton Technical College is seeking a highly qualified Medical Assistant Instructor to join our team. As an adjunct faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching medical assistant students in a hybrid format, combining face-to-face lectures with online directed learning. Your expertise and passion for medical assisting will help students develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in this rewarding profession.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach medical assistant students in a hybrid format, using a combination of face-to-face lectures and online directed learning.
  • Develop and implement instructional plans to meet the needs of students, including anatomy, physiology, basic math, and other relevant topics.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide feedback to ensure students meet learning outcomes.
  • Supervise students during practicum and assist with job placement.
  • Participate in professional improvement activities and serve on departmental and college committees as needed.
Requirements
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in a related field, or a Medical Assistant certification through the AAMA or RMA.
  • Three years of recent experience in an educational or clinical setting, with a focus on medical assisting.
  • Experience with computer-based curriculum delivery systems and current technology in instruction.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and maintain confidentiality.
