Senior Roadway Engineer (PE) - Transportation

About the Role

We have an immediate opening for a Senior Roadway Engineer (PE) to join our Florida Transportation Practice in Tavares, Tampa or Orlando, FL. The ideal candidate will bring civil engineering design experience with a focus on delivering and/or managing projects for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). Candidates should have experience leading technical approach and delivery of roadway tasks, and/or leading delivery of transportation design projects for FDOT, with Districts 1, 5 and 7 preferable.

Responsibilities
  • Lead project delivery and supervise technical staff
  • Design and review in MicroStation
  • Design, oversee and review roadway projects for FDOT and local municipalities
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships within the industry
  • Contribute to business development and marketing efforts
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in civil, public works or transportation project delivery, with at least 4 years post PE License preferred
  • Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Florida
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
