This role necessitates expertise in formulating inspection methodologies, programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), and assessing part compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior CMM Programmer/Quality Engineer, you will:
  • Establish and evaluate quality benchmarks, techniques, work instructions, and protocols for the assessment of manufactured and sourced components.
  • Design CMM processes, including fixture design, probe selection, and machine programming.
  • Lead or engage in Material Review Boards, Failure Review Boards, and various technical assessments.
  • Identify root causes of intricate issues and ensure effective corrective and preventive measures to enhance processes.
  • Develop and implement innovative inspection techniques and automation solutions.
  • Apply lean principles to minimize waste and promote continuous improvement.
  • Make final determinations regarding product acceptability.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and specifications for the creation of quality standards, methods, work instructions, and inspection procedures for manufactured products.
  • Solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience in CMM programming, fixture design, and tooling.
  • Demonstrated capability in utilizing causal analysis tools to investigate and resolve technical and process-related challenges.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with programming Zeiss (Calypso) and/or LK CMMs.
  • Familiarity with GD&T.
  • Experience in automated processes and robotic technologies.
  • Background in reviewing tool designs.
  • Lean/Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
  • Experience with SAP applications.
  • Proficient in the use of inspection gauges and measurement tools.

Security Clearance Statement: This position necessitates a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. Citizens for consideration.
