We are currently seeking a Lead Transportation Engineer (PE) to join our Florida Infrastructure Practice. The ideal candidate will possess extensive civil engineering design expertise, particularly in managing and delivering projects for state transportation agencies. Candidates should have a proven track record in leading the technical execution of roadway initiatives and managing transportation design projects, preferably with experience in various districts.

In addition to project management, candidates must exhibit strong business development skills, nurturing and maintaining professional relationships within the industry. The selected individual will collaborate closely with the Transportation Team Leader and the Practice Leader to formulate growth strategies for the region. This role presents an exceptional opportunity for career advancement, with potential for both professional development and ownership within the firm.

Qualifications for Lead Transportation Engineer (PE):
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent ABET-accredited engineering degree
  • At least 8 years of experience in civil, public works, or transportation project management, with a minimum of 4 years post-licensure experience preferred
  • Experience with state transportation agencies
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in the relevant state
  • Proven ability to lead projects and supervise technical teams
  • Demonstrated proficiency in design and review using MicroStation
  • Capability to design, oversee, and evaluate roadway projects for state and local agencies
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A positive attitude, self-motivated yet collaborative, with a strong focus on quality and integrity
  • Flexibility regarding location and working hours
