Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant I to join our team at A.O. Fox. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support services to our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide routine daily nursing care to residents, including bathing, skin care, toileting, grooming, and dressing.
  • Observe and report residents' status changes and needs.
  • Answer call lights and alarms and attend to residents' needs.
  • Obtain weights, vital signs, and report results.
  • Prioritize and organize work within specified time frames.
  • Complete Intake/Output monitoring as appropriate.
  • Obtain specimens and prepare them for transportation to the lab as needed.
  • Assist residents with ADLs, including feeding, elimination needs, and transfers.
  • Keep unit neat, relaxed, and homelike.
  • Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Provide treatments as ordered on assigned residents.
  • Operate equipment and perform procedures/care in a safe manner.
  • Demonstrate proper body mechanics in all functions.
  • Clean and stock supplies and equipment as directed.
  • Receives and directs phone calls promptly and accurately following Hospital etiquette guidelines.
  • Demonstrate ability to accept constructive criticism and use it to improve work performance.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
  • Minimum one year long-term care experience, preferred.
  • NYS Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant, required.

Physical Requirements:

Medium Work - Exerting up to 50 lbs. for force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.

Hazards:

Frequent bodily fluids/bloodborne exposure.

Working Conditions:

Occasional noise and odors.

Min:

USD $18.02/Hr.

Max:

USD $27.03/Hr.
