Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and monitor Resource Adequacy (RA) while actively participating in the development of tools and systems for RA tracking in collaboration with consultants and internal experts.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with power suppliers and relevant stakeholders, engaging in power procurement activities while ensuring compliance with Risk Management policies.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards by collaborating closely with the Scheduling Coordinator to submit precise RA compliance filings and assist in REC/Renewable Portfolio Standard/Carbon compliance submissions.
  • Participate in or lead contract negotiations with partners utilizing Western Systems Power Pool (WSPP) and Edison Energy Institute (EEI) contract formats.
  • Support additional procurement and compliance tasks within the Power Resources department.
  • Aid in the monthly settlement process and validate invoices.
  • Communicate portfolio positions to senior management and seek feedback and approval on procurement strategies.
  • Address data inquiries from Finance, Data Analytics, Local Development units, and other relevant teams.
  • Perform other assigned responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in energy, utilities, business, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with commercial contracts and terms, California energy markets, and regulatory compliance is advantageous, though not mandatory.
  • Previous experience in energy trading, analytics, or policy is also preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint, along with data visualization tools or similar software.
