Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our Distribution team at Ingram Content Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our distribution center, ensuring that our services meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and Operate Distribution Center Departments: Oversee the daily operations of our distribution center departments, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Lead and Develop Operations Supervisors: Coach, counsel, and develop a team of operations supervisors to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Control and Manage Costs: Analyze and manage costs for all assigned departments, ensuring that we are operating within budgeted payroll guidelines.
  • Analyze Staffing Needs and Delegate Work: Analyze staffing needs and delegate work based on volume requirements in assigned departments, ensuring that we have the right people in the right roles.
  • Meet Customer Service Levels and CPU Goals: Ensure that customer service levels and CPU goals are met, providing exceptional service to our customers.
  • Establish Back-up Strategies: Establish back-up strategies by cross-training, analyzing volume projections, and problem-solving, ensuring that we are always prepared for any situation.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 3+ Years of Experience in Distribution Center Supervision: 3+ years of experience in a high-volume distribution center supervising at least 25 or more employees.
  • 2+ Years of Experience with Warehouse Management Systems: 2+ years of experience working with a Warehouse Management System.
  • 6+ Months of Experience in a Physical Demanding Role: 6+ months of experience in a role that requires walking, standing, lifting/carrying, pushing/pulling, gripping/grasping, bending, squatting/kneeling, twisting/turning, climbing, crawling, reaching above shoulders, and typing/keyboard.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven Project Management Experience: Proven project management experience with a focus on driving high-impact initiatives.
  • Experience in LEAN and Continuous Improvement: Experience in leading and participating in LEAN and continuous improvement projects, including waste reduction and 5S implementation.
  • Success in Managing Multi-Site Operations: Demonstrated success in managing multi-site operations, with a strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Empathetic Leadership: An empathetic leader who champions employee needs and fosters a positive, inclusive work environment.
  • Adaptability and Forward-Thinking: Highly adaptable to change, with a forward-thinking mindset focused on staying ahead of industry trends and advancements, particularly in automation and technology.
