Radiation Oncology Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Oncology RN to join our team at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. As a Radiation Oncology RN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supportive services to patients undergoing radiation therapy.
Responsibilities- Assess and provide nursing intervention for patients with actual and potential problems related to the disease process, treatment course, and follow-up period.
- Provide clinical care, nursing consultation, and education as it relates to oncology care and radiation therapy delivery.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to enhance desired clinical outcomes.
- Communicate with the Radiation Oncologist any significant alteration in patient status and carry out nursing action plan to resolve the problem.
- Assist with patient/family/significant other's learning needs, abilities, and readiness to learn.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse with Associate Degree.
- Over 3 years' experience preferred.
- OCN Certification.
