About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Oncology RN to join our team at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. As a key member of our radiation oncology team, you will provide high-quality patient care and supportive services to patients undergoing cancer treatment.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and provide nursing intervention for patients with actual and potential problems related to the disease process, treatment course, and follow-up period.
  • Provide clinical care, nursing consultation, and education related to oncology care and radiation therapy delivery.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to enhance desired clinical outcomes and communicate significant alterations in patient status to the radiation oncologist.
  • Assist with patient/family/significant other's learning needs, abilities, and readiness to learn, and identify barriers to learning.
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse with Associate Degree and over 3 years' experience preferred.
  • OCN Certification.
