Direct Support Specialist

We are filling roles in our Specialized Supports program, which promotes the development of skill acquisition and experiential learning through community exploration. As a Direct Support Specialist, you will be responsible for the direct care and support of individuals in the program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach social and communication skills to individuals in the program
  • Develop and implement skill building groups and activities
  • Support individuals in daily living tasks and community exploration
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality care and support
Requirements:
  • No experience necessary, we will train the right people
  • Minimum of high school degree or GED
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to lift and support body weight of any program individual with the assistance of another employee
  • MUST HAVE: valid driver's license and a CLEAN driving record and a willingness to use agency vehicle in the course of employment
  • Must meet Massachusetts Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) background check requirement

We offer a $1,000.00 New Hire Bonus for Full-Time hires and a $500.00 New Hire Bonus for Part-Time hires, paid out in two installments at 3 months and 6 months. Terms and conditions apply.

Hours: Full-Time and part-time hours available 7:30AM to 3:30PM or 8:00AM to 4:00PM.
