Cybersecurity Engineer, Operational Technology

Georgetown University is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer, Operational Technology to join our team. As a key member of our Cybersecurity Operational Technology (COT) team, you will be responsible for securing existing and new business processes supporting the institution's technology modernization and expansion strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement security solutions to protect business and customers
  • Contribute to the company IT security strategy and roadmap
  • Identify and address security threats and vulnerabilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the business
Requirements:
  • 4-6+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including compliance and risk management
  • Strong understanding of legacy, IoT, voice-over-IP (VoIP), and next-generation communications systems and applications
  • Experience with cloud computing technologies, including software as a service (SaaS), infrastructure as a service (IaaS), and platform as a service (PaaS)
  • Knowledge of traditional security controls and technologies, such as security information and event management (SIEM) systems, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), public key infrastructure (PKI), identity and access management (IDAM), antivirus (AV), and firewalls
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Cisco and/or SANS certifications
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure
  • Proficient with leading AI, communications, and smart vendors
