Your responsibilities will include engaging with business units to collaboratively devise and execute procurement strategies that align with both immediate and long-term organizational objectives.

A typical day - Prepare to innovate, strategize, and excel
- Oversee contracting, category management, and procurement operations for Technology Categories (hardware, software, telecommunications, and associated services).
- Cultivate relationships with business units, engaging with senior and executive leadership to collaboratively develop and finalize effective strategic sourcing plans.
- Serve as the Lead Contract Manager, guiding a small team of 1-2 members.
- Negotiate contractual terms and related commercial aspects to ensure optimal value for Edison while mitigating potential risks.
- Maintain regular communication with suppliers to ensure compliance with established contracts.
- Integrate efforts across relevant sectors, formulating strategies to boost productivity, share information, and deliver exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Evaluate work processes for potential consolidation opportunities.
- Establish metrics to monitor responsibilities, identify gaps, and implement corrective action plans.
- Manage Purchase Orders, Change Orders, and Requests for Proposals across various categories.
- Lead contract management and resolution of supplier disputes.
- Educate and advise peers and partners on the procurement process.
Key Qualifications
- A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in procurement, contract management, and/or contract negotiations.
- At least three (3) years of experience negotiating contracts for IT software, hardware, professional services, and end-user licensing agreements.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Certifications such as Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), or Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Experience in sourcing technology-related categories, leading cybersecurity initiatives in the supply chain, and familiarity with Agile Procurement and Project Management methodologies.
- Proficiency in presenting recommendations and communications to all organizational levels.
- Familiarity with Ariba and SAP systems.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including presentations, formal correspondence, contractual documentation, group facilitation, and negotiations.
Additional Information
- This position operates in a hybrid work mode, requiring the employee to report to an SCE facility for a specified number of days while allowing remote work on other days. Employees are expected to reside in California. Further details regarding this work mode will be discussed during the interview process.
- This role may involve up to 10% travel and fieldwork throughout the SCE service area.
- Relocation may be applicable for this position.
