As a Financial Planning and Analysis Senior Manager at Southern California Edison (SCE), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's financial strategy and driving business growth. Join our team of experts in the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) organization within SCE's Corporate Finance team, where you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze financial plans, strategic decisions, and regulatory outcomes.

As a Senior Manager, you will lead various financial planning activities, including short and long-term consolidated budgeting and forecasting, financial statement analysis, and ad-hoc financial analyses. Your work will have a direct impact on the company's financial performance and contribute to the development of cleaner energy solutions. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage cash flow and financial statements, and prepare reports on findings and recommendations.
  • Drive the group financial planning and reporting strategies through development and ownership of specific elements of the annual financial plan.
  • Lead or participate in ad-hoc projects, including rating agency forecasts and presentations, internal/external audits, financings, industry research, and ad-hoc financial analysis for capital projects.
  • Drive continuous improvement programs to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial planning and analysis processes.
  • Advocate for financial data as best practice across the organization, aligned to internal data policy and external regulations.
  • Prepare presentations in support of board and shareholder meetings, rating agency meetings, monthly/quarterly senior leadership meetings, and various strategic committees.
  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts in coordination with operational managers/department directors.
  • Ensure all processes are documented and appropriate controls are in place, and identify ways to develop standards and procedures to remain compliant.
  • Support General Rate Case (GRC) preparation, including writing testimony and supporting Operating Unit in financial forecast preparation.
  • Coach and develop analyst and advisor teams to increase understanding of financial concepts and utility ratemaking, operations, and organizational practices.
Requirements
  • Five or more years of experience supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management.
  • Experience with finance, budgeting, financial forecasting, financial modeling/reporting, or accounting.
