We offer a highly competitive salary, estimated at $400,000 - $600,000 per year, based on industry standards and location in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Job Description

This open-rank, collateral term track faculty position serves as the Division Chair for Cardiothoracic Surgery. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leadership within the department and Pauley Heart Center for a prestigious program of international reputation.
  • Clinical responsibilities in all areas of advanced cardiothoracic surgery.
  • Teaching duties at the VCU Medical Center.
  • Driving growth in research within the division and department.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

  • Board certification or board eligibility in thoracic surgery.
  • Virginia state licensure and DEA.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with high emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to function in a complex matrixed environment.
  • Effective conflict management skills.
