Benvic CHEMRES, LLC is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Process Specialist to join our team in Chesapeake, VA.

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Overview:

We are a global supplier of commodity and engineering resins, offering high-quality material options to the plastics industry. As a Manufacturing Process Specialist, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring compounding lines in a safe and efficient manner according to procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Transfer product on pallet jacks and forklifts and manually load materials into the feed system.
  • Loading and unloading from the top and bottom of railcars.
  • Operate production equipment with the ability to independently set-up the feed system, extruder, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Monitor the status of the process, troubleshoot, and report details to the supervisor and the QA staff.
  • Cleaning of process equipment and facilities to maintain a clean work environment.
  • Inspect product in railcars.
  • Perform efficient clean-outs on production equipment for change-overs.
  • Perform specific equipment and facility improvement projects.
  • Understand and use basic math skills.
  • Contribute to the team by offering and helping implementation of improvements.

Requirements:

  • High School degree or greater.
  • 3+ years of production experience, preferably in a ISO or cGMP regulated facility.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Punctual.
  • Good judgment, diplomacy, and organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge of safe operating procedures.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds.
