Job Title: Procurement Specialist - Manufacturing Operations
We are seeking an experienced procurement specialist to join our team in this critical role. The successful candidate will have a strong background in purchasing concepts and procedures, with a proven track record of managing supplier relationships to ensure continuity of inventory receipts and services that meet quality, service, delivery, and price performance standards.
This role requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Responsibilities:
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure continuity of inventory receipts and services that meet quality, service, delivery, and price performance standards.
- Negotiate contracts to obtain materials from suppliers at lowest cost consistent with consideration of quality, lead time, and reliability of source.
- Participate in vendor qualification activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize costs and improve supply chain efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3+ years experience in buyer roles in manufacturing organizations.
- Proven track record of managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
