LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a skilled Bodily Injury Adjuster (Litigation) to join an insurance company in Queens, NY. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and negotiating bodily injury claims, both litigated and non-litigated.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage litigation processes by directing defense counsel and monitoring associated costs
- Initiate investigations upon receipt of new claims
- Obtain and document statements from all parties involved
- Maintain detailed records of all activities and manage a diary on all files
- Assess liability based on investigations
- Review medical records to evaluate injury value and maintain accurate claim reserves
- Adhere to company policy regarding reserve and settlement authority, and complete large loss reports as required
- Negotiate settlements with claimants and/or their attorneys
- Liaise with other carriers to gather injury information
- Proven experience in handling bodily injury claims, with a strong background in litigation
- Familiarity with liability, comparative negligence, and their application in claims
- Excellent negotiation skills and computer literacy
- Paralegal Certification is a plus
- Competitive salary range: $60,000 - $73,000
