We are seeking a highly skilled Housing Development Finance Professional to join our team at Atlantic Pacific Companies.

Job Summary:

The Housing Development Finance Professional will support our Acquisitions/Applications team in researching and preparing finance applications to federal, state, and local governments for the financing of affordable and workforce housing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research and analyze Qualified Allocation Plans and federal, state, and local government affordable housing program rules and regulations.
  • Financing Sources: Research sources of construction and permanent financing from public sources.
  • Development Opportunities: Search for development opportunities, such as Request For Qualifications and Request For Proposals, conduct preliminary screening, analyze opportunities, and assist in the preparation of the submission.
  • Funding Applications: Assist with preparation and submittal of funding applications to federal, state, and local government finance agencies.
  • Data Collection: Assist in research and data collection and updating records for mapping projects using Google Earth, Google Maps.
  • Acquisition Due Diligence: Assist the team with acquisition and underwriting due diligence.
  • Meetings and Workshops: Attend meetings and workshops as necessary.
  • File Management: Maintain pertinent paper and electronic files and records by naming conventions, ensuring complete, accurate, and organized files.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Computer Skills: High proficiency with computer software, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Earth.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Writing Skills: Strong writing skills are essential.
  • Multitasking: Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Grant Writing Experience: Experience with grant writing, State or federal housing programs, particularly the LIHTC program is beneficial.
  • Travel and Flexibility: Some travel (overnight) and the ability to work flexible hours to meet deadlines are required.

  • Competitive Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
