Overview

TalentFish is seeking a dedicated Cybersecurity Controls Manager. This is a Direct Hire opportunity that allows for Remote work. The Cybersecurity Controls Manager will be responsible for the execution, oversight, and ongoing enhancement of the Information Security Management System (ISMS) controls, aligning with ISO 27001 and NIST standards. This position will also facilitate client reporting and audit requirements, while assessing, addressing, and reporting on cyber risks, and identifying the necessary controls and protocols to mitigate IT risks.

What You Bring to the Role. (Ideal Experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Assurance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (two years of additional experience may substitute for two years of college credits); and
  • A minimum of seven (7+) years of combined experience in information technology and information security (preferred).
  • Certifications such as CISA, CISM, GSEC, CISSP, or other security-related credentials are preferred;
  • In-depth knowledge of information security principles and technologies;
  • Strong grasp of industry control frameworks, risk management principles, frameworks, and methodologies;
  • Experience in client-facing roles (e.g., consulting);

What You'll Do. (Skills Used in this Position)

  • Exhibit proficiency with ISO 27002:2022 controls;
  • Support ISO 27001 initiatives by evaluating (i.e., assessing or auditing), recommending, developing, coordinating, monitoring, and maintaining cybersecurity policies, procedures, processes, standards, guidelines, and controls library;
  • Manage or assist in enforcing the InfoSec policy, procedure, and process portfolio, ensuring alignment with Firm and Client InfoSec requirements while recommending improvements;
  • Lead remediation efforts addressing gaps in the information security program based on ISO 27001 and 27002 standards, independent assessments, regulatory, and Client requirements;
  • Effectively communicate technical threats, controls, and remediation activities to both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
  • Oversee and support the Firm's InfoSec responses to client assessments and presentations;
  • Translate guidelines and roadmaps into actionable project plans, managing multiple workstreams across matrixed teams;
  • Implement and promote security-related standards, procedures, processes, and guidelines, while enforcing and monitoring adoption across stakeholder groups;
  • Provide guidance to stakeholders regarding the development of and conduct quality assurance reviews for procedure, process, standards, and guidelines deliverables to ensure alignment with Firm and Client requirements;
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of the Cyber risk register and associated remediation activities.
