Overview
TalentFish is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Controls Manager. This is a Direct Hire position that allows for Remote work. The Cybersecurity Controls Manager will be responsible for the execution, administration, and ongoing enhancement of the Information Security Management System (ISMS) controls in accordance with ISO 27001 and NIST standards. This role is crucial for supporting client reporting and audit requirements, as well as evaluating, mitigating, and reporting on cyber risks, while identifying the necessary controls and protocols to minimize or manage IT risks.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Assurance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline (two years of additional experience may be considered in lieu of two years of college credits);
- A minimum of seven (7+) years of cumulative experience in information technology and information security (preferred);
- Relevant certifications such as CISA, CISM, GSEC, CISSP, or similar security-related credentials are preferred;
- Comprehensive understanding of information security principles and technologies;
- In-depth knowledge of industry control frameworks, risk management concepts, frameworks, and methodologies;
- Experience in client-facing roles (e.g., consulting);
Key Responsibilities
- Exhibit proficiency with ISO 27002:2022 controls;
- Assist in ISO 27001 initiatives by evaluating (i.e., assessing or auditing), recommending, developing, coordinating, monitoring, and maintaining cybersecurity policies, procedures, processes, standards, guidelines, and controls library;
- Oversee or assist in the enforcement of the Information Security policy, procedure, and process portfolio, ensuring alignment with Firm and Client Information Security requirements and suggesting areas for enhancement;
- Lead remediation initiatives addressing gaps in the information security program based on ISO 27001 and 27002 standards, independent assessments, regulatory, and Client requirements;
- Effectively communicate technical threats, controls, and remediation efforts to both technical and non-technical audiences;
- Support the Firm's Information Security responses to client assessments and presentations;
- Translate guidelines and roadmaps into actionable project plans, managing multiple workstreams across diverse teams;
- Implement and promote security-related standards, procedures, processes, and guidelines, while enforcing and monitoring adoption across stakeholder groups;
- Provide guidance to stakeholders regarding the development of and conduct quality assurance reviews of procedures, processes, standards, and guidelines to ensure alignment with Firm and Client requirements;
- Assist in the development and upkeep of the Cyber risk register and related remediation activities.
