Job Summary

OptiMIM, a leading manufacturer of high-performance small precision metal components, is seeking a skilled Set-Up Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and simple repairs to injection molds, ensuring optimal equipment performance and product quality.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct tooling set-ups, including tool installation, machine preparation, and barrel cleaning to support injection molding process.
  • Distribute material for molding operations and aid in troubleshooting and resolution of production problems.
  • Monitor product quality and process productivity, making adjustments as needed to optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with process engineering to improve processes, optimize cycle time, and conduct engineering tests.
  • Collect and enter data to support documented procedures and maintain accurate records.

Requirements
  • Previous experience with injection molding equipment preferred.
  • Machining and/or tooling experience preferred.
  • Basic to moderate computer/PC skills (MS Office).
  • Good time management skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English.

What We Offer

Competitive salary range: $18.36 to $25.00, DOE/E, and depending on Level I or II.

Graveyard shift differential: $1.25 per hour.

PTO: 40 hours of Sick time, 80 hours of PTO, and 80 hours of (designated) holiday pay.
