Flight Test Instrumentation Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Flight Test team at Lockheed Martin Corporation. As a Mechanical Engineer for Flight Test Instrumentation, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and installing flight test equipment and data system components for our F-35, F-16, and F-22 aircraft.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop 3D CATIA flight test mechanical designs for installation of flight test equipment and data system components.
- Coordinate with suppliers, internal and external integrated product teams, management, and the customer to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide technical engineering support for installation and testing at CONUS and OCONUS locations.
- Act as an engineering liaison for flight test and instrumentation modification activities.
- Produce and read engineering drawings, schematics, and technical procedures.
- Develop troubleshooting plans and discrepancy resolution.
- Lead a team of engineers through complex projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Experience with CATIA V5, V4, or similar.
- Experience with aircraft manufacture or operations.
- Experienced in CATIA V5 mechanical design.
- Familiar with sensor technology utilized in the test of aircraft structures (loads and vibration) and vehicle subsystems (environmental control systems, flight controls, propulsion, and aerodynamics).
- Familiar with fighter aircraft technical data, maintenance practices, flight operations, and weapons.
- Familiar with aircraft structures as it relates to equipment installation and harness routing.
- Strong communication and people skills with the ability to work in a diverse engineering and technician team environment.
This position requires a government security clearance, and you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
