Design and Develop Innovative Flight Control Systems

We are seeking a highly skilled Flight Control Systems Engineer to join our team at Bell Textron Inc. in Fort Worth, Texas. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing advanced flight control systems for our aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop system architecture for flight control systems
  • Derive system, software, and component level requirements
  • Develop and test system architecture in desktop integrated lab environments, pilot in the loop simulated environments, and/or on flight test aircraft
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and test flight control systems
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-810, RTCA DO-178, RTCA DO-254, SAE ARP4754A, SAE ARP4761, AMACC, 14 CFR Part 27 and Part 29
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in embedded system development, system architecture design, and system integration and test
  • Experience with software development in an embedded or real-time operating systems (RTOS) environment utilizing Model Based Design (MBD) techniques with tools such as MathWorks MATLAB / Simulink with Stateflow and Embedded Coder
  • Experience with system safety assessments, failure hazard analysis, and certification/test plans
